This English idiom “as safe as houses” means very safe, protected, comfortable and completely secure. But, in this post-covid world, your money is not secure. So, what can property do for you? Why not stocks, cryptocurrency or precious metals? Over the last 80 years, property values have increased by 7.9% per annum (Land Registry data). Even from 2000-2010 during the financial crash, house prices increased every single year (except 2008 and 2009), and over the decade they still doubled. Value growth is likely to continue due to the normal laws of supply and demand: UK property is a limited resource, and the population is growing. The government forecasts say property will continue to rise at previous rates over the long term. We can’t ever know what the future holds. However, investing an future proof you, and property data enables us to make some very secure predictions about your financial future in the long-run. The government is actively attempting to kickstart the UK property market as it is a fundamental part of our economy. I work with and alongside investors from across Europe who flock specifically to the UK market for this reason.
Everyone knows that property is a great investment in the long term. However, not many realise that property can be a great investment in the short term too (each investment less than 24 months) if you want a great return coupled with a personal approach, by investing in someone else’s projects.
